Pseuderanthemum variable (pastel flower) and native grasses Veronica plebeia (Veronica)
Grassland under canopy Centella, native sedges and grasses in lawn

Brush Farm House located at 19 Lawson Street, Eastwood (Sydney) has a wealth of natives in it's lawns and in the remnant of bushland alongside the house. The photo of the house was taken in 2005 and shows the house prior to the renovations which commenced in 2006.

The soils around this house appear to be the original soils hence the treasure trove of native plants to be found. When you walk within the remnant of bushland you can image what the entire surrounding area would have been like when the house was built. This area has a high canopy with an understorey which is mostly grasses and herbs. A visit to the grounds is a great opportunity to see a variety of beautiful little ground covers in their natural environment.
